Get PrivDF for your Mac
The same app that runs at app.privdf.ai — native, offline-capable, signed and notarized by Apple, and still never uploads your files.
Signed and notarized by Apple. When you double-click the .dmg you won’t see the “app from an unidentified developer” warning — macOS Gatekeeper recognizes it as legitimate. Your files still never leave your Mac; the signing is just so macOS will let it run.
System requirements
Direct download: macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or newer.
Mac App Store: macOS 12.0 (Monterey) or newer.
Apple silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) currently. Intel build coming.
Download size
About 16 MB. Installs to /Applications/PrivDF.app.
Network use
Only when you opt into AI features, or when the app checks for an update. AI calls carry extracted text to Venice — never your PDF file.

spctl -a -vvv -t install /Applications/PrivDF.app
The second command should print source=Notarized Developer ID and the Team ID above.
If it does not, do not run the app — tell us at

What about Windows / Linux / Intel Mac?
The Mac Apple-silicon build is the first signed release. A universal Mac binary (including Intel) and Windows builds are on the roadmap. In the meantime, the web app at app.privdf.ai runs on every modern browser and is functionally identical — same offline-first architecture, same AI features, no upload.
