One model, stated plainly: the PDF tools are free forever — editing, redaction, signing, OCR and every page operation run on your device and cost us nothing to provide. AI is what costs money, because it runs on someone else's hardware — that covers summaries, Q&A, table extraction, and re-reading a scanned page with AI when on-device OCR isn't good enough. Heavy AI use is what Pro pays for. The desktop app is a one-time convenience purchase, or free through the Mac App Store where Apple handles the billing.

Do you ever see my PDFs?
No. Your PDF file never leaves your device — there is no upload path in the app, and we have no servers that could store one. When you use AI features, only the extracted text relevant to your request is sent to Venice AI; the file itself never is. Full detail on the Security page.
What's included in the Free plan?
Every PDF tool, with no limit: open as many PDFs as you like, edit, redact, sign, extract tables, run OCR, highlight, annotate and export. The only cap is on AI — 5 operations per day.
Do I need an account?
No! The Free plan works without any account. If you upgrade to Pro, we'll create an account to manage billing, but we still won't store your PDFs or annotations.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel your subscription anytime with one click. Your data stays local—canceling doesn't delete anything from your device.
